Description: EMDX 8001 is seen at Broadway Ave. in Blue Island, IL. This unit was later NS 7216 and never wore the all red EMD paint like EMDX 8000 above as as I've been able to determine.

From 1996 until late 2019, the SD80MACs enjoyed service on Conrail, CSX, and Norfolk Southern. Due to the implementation of PSR, all 29 remaining units were auctioned 1/2020 by NS and purchased by CP and Progress Rail.

Description: Quite a few harvested 16-710 and 20-710 engines sit on the property. There are eleven 20-710 engines from SD80MACs in the far end of the pile. Better photo later on.

Description: This group of three SD80MACs includes former NS 7207, 7208, and 7214. All three were usually in the South Fork pool under NS. The 7207 and 7208 were built in March 1996 while 7214 was built in May 1996. They were originally Conrail 4114, 4115, and 4126 respectively.

Description: Former NS 7201 leads a string of three other SD80MACs in the Raceland dead lines. It's depressing to think how many of these units I may have worked with.

Description: I believe this frame and pile of parts is mostly former NS 7221, at least that's the cab that's laying on the pile. There are parts from several 80MACs in the piles.

Description: When going back through all my photos, I couldn't account for 10 of the SD80MACs here at Raceland. I could count 10 or 11 radiator roof panels in this pile. (should be 11 since 7221 is known to have been cut up)

Description: While most of the 20-710 engines seem to have been harvested, these two must have had major problems. One is possibly from the 7221. Note one block is mostly whole and the other is in several pieces. There are several nose pieces in this pile.
